This Crime Stoppers Program began in 1982 from the efforts of concerned citizens, Meridian Chamber of Commerce, and local law enforcement agencies.  Our Program now operates as an independent organization but with a combination of efforts by local media, businesses, civic and social clubs, law enforcement agencies, and the public. 

The anonymity of the tipster and cash rewards have established Crime Stoppers as an effective tool to fight crime in the area, and lend a helping hand to our law enforcement agencies. 

CrimeStoppers board is comprised of diverse, active and dedicated community representatives. With the prime agenda being, to make our city and county a safer place to live. CrimeStoppers provides a method for local law enforcement to receive information on recent or even cold case crimes. 

Tipsters call the East Mississippi Crimestoppers line 855-485-TIPS.    If their tip results in an arrest, they could be eligible in Cash rewards. 

If not for the combined efforts of the community and the law enforcement agencies ,Crimestoppers could not be as effective a tool for the solving of crimes in our communities.|
